Bostik P795 – sealant for filling large gaps

Bostik P795 SEAL’N’FLEX PREMIUM

Bostik P795 SEAL’N’FLEX PREMIUM is specially developed as a versatile sealant used to fill and seal gaps and expansion joints in construction and pedestrian walkway expansion joints. Particularly suitable for roofing applications.

Instructions for use

A precise-sized joint can absorb movements between building materials. The depth of the joint should be proportional to its width. A general rule is that the ratio between the depth and width of the joint is 1:1 for joints with a maximum width of 10mm and a minimum of 5mm. For joints wider than 10mm, the depth is the width divided by 3 plus 6mm.

Color variation may occur due to various factors, typically in cases of high temperature, UV radiation, or chemical exposure. However, color changes will not adversely affect the technical performance or durability of the product.

Limitations

• Not suitable for PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, plasticizer, synthetic rubber, and bitumen substrates.
• Not recommended for use in combination with chloride (found in pool water).
• May experience slight yellowing when white adhesive is exposed to ultraviolet light.

Storage

Store the product in a dry place at temperatures ranging from +5°C to +25°C, with a shelf life of 15 months from the date of manufacture.

Surface Preparation & Finish

The application temperature ranges from +5°C to +40°C (applicable to both environment and surface). All substrates must be solid, clean, dry, free from grease, oil, and dust. Bostik P795 SEAL’N’FLEX PREMIUM adheres perfectly without the need for primer on most non-porous surfaces. Porous surfaces should be treated with primer. Always ensure to check adhesion before application.

Paintability

Bostik P759 SEAL’N’FLEX PREMIUM can be painted with water-based and most two-component paints. Synthetic paints may dry slower. It is advisable to test compatibility with the paint before application. If Bostik P795 SEAL’N’FLEX PREMIUM is being painted over, lightly sand the sealant and adjoining surfaces before application using Scotch-Brite. Painting should be done a few days after sealant application for optimal paint results.

Cleaning

Materials and tools can be cleaned using a specialized cleaning solution. Hardened materials can only be removed mechanically.
