Bostik S736 Premium, Neutral Grade, High Modulus Silicone for Glazing & Facade Applications

Bostik S736 SILICONE GLAZING is a neutral silicone adhesive with low modulus, curing by reacting with moisture to form a durable, elastic rubber cushion. Being a premium-grade silicone adhesive specialized for glass assembly, it offers numerous advantages:

Bostik Silicone S736 (Glass and Seal)

Bostik S736 SILICONE GLAZING is specially developed to provide durable elastic sealing for connections and expansion joints in concrete, tiles, curtain walls, and weather sealing. It is suitable for sealing PMMA and PC panel materials.

Usage Instructions

A precise-sized joint can absorb movements between building materials. The depth-to-width ratio of the joint should be 1:1, with a minimum width of 5mm and a maximum width of 10mm. For joints wider than 10mm, the depth should be the width divided by 3 plus 6mm.

Surface Preparation & Finishing

Operating temperature: +5°C to +40°C (applies to both environment and surface). All surfaces must be firm, clean, dry, free from grease, and dust. Clean surfaces with Cleaner. Bostik S736 SILICONE GLAZING provides excellent adhesion without the need for primer on most non-porous surfaces. Pre-treated porous surfaces with primer. Always check adhesion before application. Use Finisher to smooth the joint.

Paintability

Bostik S736 SILICONE GLAZING is not paintable. It is recommended to use masking tape to prevent silicone contamination on surfaces intended for painting.

Cleaning

Materials and tools can be cleaned using specialized chemicals. Hardened materials can only be removed mechanically.

Limitations

Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene, and bituminous substrates.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place in the original unopened packaging at temperatures from +5°C to +25°C. Shelf life is up to 12 months from the date of manufacture.
