U-Primer 150 | Polyurethane, solvent-free primer resin for consolidation and waterproofing of cementitious screeds in parquet bonding applications

U-Primer 150 is a one-part, solvent free ultra-fast curing polyurethane resin with no water content. It cures by reaction with atmospheric moisture and the screed water content. Being completely solvent-free, it is odorless and VOC-free.

U-Primer 150 has been specifically formulated to guarantee high penetration through cementitious screeds, purposely developed to allow the use of the product in its pure form (without any dilution) guaranteeing high waterproofing and consolidating properties as well as the depth penetration increasing the consolidated surface thickness. Used in combination with NPT adhesives, U-Primer 150 create a real “application system” that allow a very fast and safe bonding of wooden floors avoiding any loss of time.

Application

As anti-dust and surface consolidation treatment: apply with a roller or brush in one coat. Let dry in 2/4 hours. The low viscosity of the product combined with the high absorption properties allows a perfect penetration into the screed, which allows to restore uneven and dusty screeds.

As a waterproofing layer: the screed must be free of oil, wax and dirt and must be adequately cured depending on whether a traditional screed or a anhydrite screed is used. Apply at least two cross-directional coats of U-Primer 150 using a roller or brush, making sure each coat is forming a continuous film.

For the preparation of synthetic mortars: to restore and patch broken screeds, a mixture of U-Primer 150 with sand with a mixing ratio of 9 parts of sand and 1 part of Primer 150 by weight is suitable to obtain fast- setting mortars for the repair of cracks and holes in the screed.

U-Primer 150 can be diluted with ethyl acetate if necessary to specific application requirements. The recommended dilution percentage can range from 0% to 50%.

After the application of Primer 150, the wood floors can be bonded with NPT adhesives from 60 minutes and within 36 hours.

CONSUMPTION

U-Primer 150 has a consumption of approx. 100–200 g / m2 as a primer for anti-dust treatment or surface consolidation and approx. 200–400 g / m2 if used as a moisture barrier in a deep consolidation treatment.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE MEASURES

Clean the tools used with acetone or solvent. When the material has not yet hardened, it can be removed using paper or a cloth. Once hardened, the product can only be removed mechanically. Avoid skin contact by using latex, rubber or polyethylene gloves. If it comes in contact with the skin, remove immediately and wash with soap and water.

STORAGE

U-Primer 150 can be stored for 12 months in its original packaging (unopened container) between 10°C and 25°C in a cool, dry place. The storage temperature should not exceed 25°C for extended periods of time. Keep away from wet areas, direct sunlight and heat sources.
