U-Seal 205 HM-LC | High modulus, low conductive, ultra-fast curing one-part polyurethane direct glazing & structural bonding adhesive
U-Seal 205 HM-LC is a high-modulus, low-conductivity, fast-curing, single-component polyurethane adhesive that is flexible and high-performing, designed specifically for direct glazing on vehicles. This product is engineered to ensure a safe drive-away time of just 30 minutes for vehicles equipped with airbags.
- One-component polyurethane.
- Solvent free, odourless.
- Fast curing.
- Suitable for cold and warm application.
- Outstanding thixotropy, high decking, non-sagging.
- High viscosity, high green strength.
- High Modulus – maintains torsional rigidity and increases the vehicles NVH values.
- Capable of withstanding high dynamic stresses.
- Non-conductive, low volume resistivity.
- Suitable for use with integral aerials.
- Prevents contact corrosion in aluminum-body vehicles.
Applications
Specifically designed for windshield bonding in the automotive glass replacement market, as well as side and rear windows for cars, trucks, tractors, and special vehicles. This product is ideal for direct glazing in vehicles requiring high shear modulus and non-conductive properties. Additionally, it is used for bonding fiberglass-reinforced plastic components (such as roofs, side panels, and front panels) on vehicles. The product is suitable for all situations requiring strong elastic structural bonding between different materials (automotive coatings, metal sheets, fiberglass, and reinforced plastics), capable of withstanding significant mechanical or thermal stresses.
DRIVE AWAY TIME (DAT)
TÜV Crash Tested:
- Drive Away Time: 30 minutes.
- On vehicles fitted with both driver and passenger airbags.
U-Seal 205 HM-LC is compliant to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208/212 and all long-term durability requirements according to the full range of N.P.T laboratory Data.

Instructions for Use
Fit the bag into a manual or pneumatic air operated gun (provided with telescopic piston). The surfaces to be treated should be perfectly clean, dry and free from dust and grease. It is necessary to treat the windscreen and its bonding surface according to NPT application guidelines, using a specific CLEANER or ACTIVATOR from NPT range and black primer U-PRIMER 130. It is advisable to carry out preliminary adhesion tests on the support. Specific guidance regarding the use of primers may be obtained by submitting substrate samples to our laboratories.
Do not cure in the presence of curing silicone sealants. Avoid contact with alcohol and other solvent cleaners during cure. When applying sealant, avoid air-entrapment. Since system is moisture-cured, permit sufficient exposure to air. Bonded elements may require additional holding or support during curing period. Tooling and finishing must be carried out within the tack-free time of the sealant.
Cleaning Instructions
Clean used tools with acetone or a solvent. While the adhesive is uncured, it can be wiped off with paper or cloth. Once cured, it can only be removed mechanically. Avoid direct contact with the skin by wearing latex, rubber, or polyethylene gloves. If adhesive comes into contact with the skin, wash immediately with soap and water.
