U-Seal 208 BTR | Ultra-high viscosity for Bus, Truck & Rail,one-part polyurethane direct glazing & structural bonding
U-Seal 208 BTR is a high viscosity, high decking and green strength one-component, flexible and high- performance polyurethane adhesive for commercial vehicles and bus, truck and rail glass direct glazing and general assembly. Highly resistant to UV radiation, weathering and ageing.
- One-component polyurethane.
- Solvent free, odorless.
- Fast curing. Short cut-off string.
- Suitable for cold and warm application.
- Outstanding thixotropy, high decking, non-sagging.
- High viscosity – high initial tack.
- High Modulus – maintains torsional rigidity and increases the vehicles NVH values.
- Capable of withstanding high dynamic stresses.
- High UV, weathering and ageing resistance and color stability.
- Allow best appearance for aesthetical purposes.
Application
Specifically addressed to the glass replacing and installation of front, side and rear windshields in the sector of Bus, Truck, Railway and industrial vehicles. Thanks to its high viscosity it guarantees a very high initial tack and is suitable for the application of large surfaces glasses typical in the BTR. Suitable for elastic structural bonding (assembly of various materials which are subjected to high thermal and dynamic stress) in the transportation Industry. The product is also characterized by a very high UV resistance and color stability making the product ideal for the sealing of exposed joints, including joints between lateral glasses. Once cured it provides an excellent semi-matt appearance for aesthetical purposes.

Instructions for Use
Insert the adhesive bag into a manual or pneumatic caulking gun (equipped with a telescopic piston). The surfaces to be treated must be thoroughly cleaned, dry, and free from dust or grease. The windshield and bonding surfaces should be treated according to NPT application guidelines, using cleaning solutions or specific activators from the NPT product line, along with U-PRIMER 130 black primer. It is recommended to conduct initial adhesion tests on support surfaces. Specific instructions on the use of primers can be provided by sending surface samples to our laboratory.
Do not allow the adhesive to cure in the presence of curing silicone sealants. Avoid contact with alcohol and other solvent-based cleaning solutions during curing. When applying the sealant, avoid trapping air. Since the curing system is moisture-based, ensure sufficient exposure to air. The bonded components may require clamping or additional support during the curing period. Adjustments and finishing should be performed while the sealant is still tacky.
Cleaning Instructions
Clean used tools with acetone or solvent. If the adhesive has not yet cured, it can be wiped off with paper or a cloth. Once the adhesive has cured, it can only be removed by mechanical means. Avoid direct skin contact by wearing latex, rubber, or polyethylene gloves. If the adhesive comes into contact with the skin, it should be removed immediately, and the area washed thoroughly with soap and water.
Storage Instructions
U-Seal 208 BTR can be stored for 12 months in its original (unopened) packaging at temperatures between 10°C and 25°C, in a dry and well-ventilated area. Storage temperatures should not exceed 25°C for extended periods. Keep away from damp areas, direct sunlight, and heat sources.
