Here is a specialized English translation that retains technical terminology and clarity for a native speaker:
U-Seal 906 AS is One-part, hydrophilic swelling polyurethane adhesive and sealant. This product is specifically designed for waterproofing concrete joints, and when exposed to water, it transforms into a sealant capable of withstanding water pressure up to 5 bar. It can be applied using standard caulking guns without sagging. U-Seal 906 AS self-adheres under the influence of ambient humidity or concrete, effectively sealing construction or hydraulic joints, and it possesses the ability to expand upon water exposure, even during repeated water immersion cycles. The product is certified to meet the following standards:
- LEED iEQc4.1
- SCAQMD Rule 1168
- BAAQMD Reg 8 Rule 51
Application Areas
U-Seal 906 AS is used as an adhesive and sealant for applications requiring complete sealing, including those subjected to hydrostatic or air pressure. The product is suitable for waterproofing joints in both precast and cast-in-place concrete structures in civil and industrial construction. Additionally, it is used for connecting joints between old and new structures, sealing cracks or construction joints between concrete elements, and addressing intersections of pipes, metal components, or other junctions within walls and floors. The product is also appropriate for insulating joints and connections of water pipes, gas pipes, electrical conduits, tunnel segments, shafts, and for sealing return bars. Furthermore, U-Seal 906 AS can be used to bond bentonite tapes.

Instructions for Use
The surface to be bonded must be completely clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. U-Seal 906 AS exhibits excellent adhesion without the need for a primer on common construction materials. Therefore, using a primer is unnecessary if the surface to be sealed has been thoroughly prepared and is structurally sound. However, due to the unpredictable nature of these surfaces, it is recommended to conduct a preliminary test.
Precast concrete panels treated with release agents other than polyethylene film should be sandblasted or mechanically abraded and cleaned of dust. When pouring new concrete, ensure compaction to avoid the formation of voids and gravel pockets. Level the area where the sealant is to be applied using appropriate tools. Before pouring concrete joints, allow the sealant to cure for at least 24 hours. Protect the sealant from washout due to rain, running water, or standing water before pouring concrete. The recommended application temperature is 15°-25°C. For ease of use or application in colder temperatures, store the material at approximately 25°C before use.
To create water-expanding, waterproof joints, apply the sealant between concrete pours or between elements to be sealed, ensuring full and continuous contact between the sealant and the surface. Sufficient product should be dispensed to compensate for any surface irregularities and to fill all voids requiring sealing, even if a large quantity of the product is needed. It is recommended to create joints with a depth of 5 cm to form a solid, waterproof mass that can withstand buoyancy forces. Use a backing rod as a liner when sealing cavities or joints deeper than 5 cm. In the cured product, water-induced expansion occurs slowly and evenly, taking up to 72 hours to reach maximum expansion, and it will be maintained as long as water exposure continues.
When using as an adhesive for bentonite tape, apply the product to both surfaces, compensating for any irregularities and gaps, then press the tape onto the concrete to ensure continuous and even contact between the two surfaces, allowing the sealant to secure the continuity of the joint.
Cleaning Instructions
Clean used tools with acetone or solvent. Uncured adhesive can be removed with paper or cloth. Once cured, the adhesive can only be removed mechanically. Avoid skin contact by using latex, rubber, or polyethylene gloves. If the adhesive comes into contact with the skin, remove it immediately and wash with soap and water.
